Hidden Beauty

I love the brush strokes at the top. It's a nice touch. And the white where it tapers out at the bottom looks very stark against the dark background. I like that the background starts out lighter at the top so it really enhances the contrast at the bottom. It kind of feels that the figure is melting away, which makes this a very sad piece for me.
Also I like that the face and the paint hint at the rest of the figure. My mind kind of filled out the rest of the shape. It gives the viewer a little more control over the figure. Very nice work.
